Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) shall govern your participation in The Orktober Challenge Miniature Painting Competition, hosted by The Golden Demon Compendium, and accessible via the website https://orktober.co.uk/. Your participation in this competition constitutes your full and unconditional acceptance of these Terms.
- Website: The competition is exclusively hosted on the website https://orktober.co.uk/ by The Golden Demon Compendium.
- Entry: Each participant is permitted a single entry.
- Eligibility: The competition is open to all individuals with an interest in miniature painting, encompassing Ork-themed miniatures across various genres, including but not limited to Sci-Fi or Fantasy, Middle-Earth, Vehicles, Busts, Dioramas, Monsters, and Units. Entries may be drawn from any manufacturer and are not restricted to a specific source. All submissions must adhere to the Orkish theme.
- Age and Geographic Limitations: Participation in this competition is not constrained by age or geographical location.
- Original Work: All entries submitted must be the sole, original work of the participant.
- Photography: When capturing images of your entry, it is expected that participants refrain from employing excessive manipulation techniques that would result in misrepresentations of the miniature.
- Deadline: Submissions must be received by the date listed in the Entry-Compendium form.
- Judges: The evaluation of entries shall be undertaken by The Golden Demon Compendium. The decisions of the judging panel are final and not subject to appeal.

Prizes: The top 5 participants, as selected by The Golden Demon Compendium, shall be awarded winners’ cards. The winners’ cards will be handled as follows:
- Winners’ cards will be issued to the winners by The Golden Demon Compendium.
- In cases where posting is possible within the United Kingdom (UK), The Golden Demon Compendium will make reasonable efforts to mail the winners’ cards to the recipients.
- However, in the event that mailing winners’ cards is not feasible, The Golden Demon Compendium reserves the right to provide digital versions of the winners’ cards to the respective winners.

The method of delivery (physical or digital) will be determined by The Golden Demon Compendium based on logistical considerations and will be communicated to the winners.
- Please note that the availability of physical delivery of winners’ cards may depend on factors such as location, postal restrictions, and other logistical constraints. By participating in the competition, you acknowledge and accept these terms regarding the delivery of winners’ cards.
By entering the competition, you expressly grant permission to The Golden Demon Compendium to employ the details and images associated with your entry for promotional and informational purposes on the website https://orktober.co.uk/ as well as across various social media platforms. This permission is granted without limitation or any form of compensation.
Throughout the duration of the competition, participants are expected to conduct themselves with the utmost sportsmanship and respect towards fellow participants and organisers alike. Any disruptive or inappropriate behavior may result in disqualification and potential exclusion from future competitions organised by The Golden Demon Compendium.
Participants found in violation of the competition rules, including but not limited to plagiarism, submission of inappropriate content, or failure to meet entry requirements, will be subject to disqualification. The following actions may lead to disqualification:
- Plagiarism: Submission of work that is not the original creation of the participant, including any form of intellectual property theft.
- Inappropriate Content: Submission of work that contains offensive, explicit, or harmful content that contravenes community standards.
- Failure to Meet Entry Requirements: Failure to adhere to the specified competition requirements, including theme adherence, multiple entries by a single participant, or submission after the stipulated deadline.
Disqualified participants forfeit any rights to prizes or recognition and may face further action as deemed necessary by The Golden Demon Compendium.
Participation in the The Orktober Challenge Miniature Painting Competition signifies your understanding and unequivocal acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
The Golden Demon Compendium reserves the right to amend or modify these Terms at its discretion and will duly notify participants of any such changes through the competition website.
